Adventure Medical Kits
Have a knack for exploring the wild woods? All adventure seekers do. I have to agree, nothing gives you an adrenaline rush like thrill of the unknowing and unexpected. Exploring is not dangerous if you know what you are in for. If you have the basic skill and knowledge then you are in for a good time. But it is essential to be prepared for the worst.
Bulky, heavy backpacks can make it hard to explore but there are so many items you simply can’t do without. I have found the Adventure Medical Kits quite helpful. It is compact and light weight so it can easily fit in a jacket pocket. The material is pretty decent hard plastic and it is waterproof.
It comes with a built in knife that has a plastic handle. It is useful but not durable. It could hardly take any rough chopping or cutting but for the basics, it will do. If I were you, I’d go ahead and pack a heavy duty knife just in case.

There is a small LED on the knife to help you see in the dark. It is pretty small and low-intensity. I don’t reckon it could be used to send a light signal but it could be of use to see what you are cutting, read etc.
There is whistle on the knife which can be a life saver if need be. On the outside, there is a compass. Decent stuff but since it is on the exterior, a fall or an accident could easily damage it and make it useless.
There is also a fire started which is pretty much like a lighter minus the fuel. It is good stuff and comes in handy. Good results and quite useful in case you need to make a fire.
There is also a signaling mirror (not detachable) in the kit which is quite good. Useful, important and there is also a protective sticker included to avoid scratches.
Agreed that you could get much higher quality items if you buy everything separately but if you are looking for the bare minimum of all the tools, compact and convenience then go for it.
